Farm Living is the Life for Me!
We are officially alpaca farmers now and it has been an enjoyable 2-1/2 weeks. I have settled into a routine with the feeding. The LGD's understand what role they play and things are running smoothly thus far. When you only have six alpacas to care for, it's pretty easy. Factor in the 6 dogs, 2 birds and 1 cat and it gets a little more hectic because each one needs their attention. But all in all it's been great here at the zoo..... I mean farm.
I sent off some hay samples to the University of Tennessee for analysis. I should have the results in about a week. I am almost finished with the construction of the boy stalls as well.
