Fencing in Triple Digits
I have all but a couple of brace posts in. I'm waiting for Tractor Supply to hook me up with my turnbuckles that I ordered. Tomorrow I will pay them a visit...... again! They know how to take the order..... They just don't know how to fill the order!
Once I get those installed, I'll be ready to pull the fence. In the meantime, I started on the barn stalls and have 3 of the 4 finished with the exception of gates. I'll finish that task tomorrow.

We've gotten a couple really good rains the past couple days. Hope you've gotten some of it.
I like twisted wire better than turnbuckles for brace posts. Done right, there are fewer sharp edges for alpacas to get caught on and fewer wires to get tangled in. (I still put the brace wire on the outside when I can.) Plus, it's cheaper and easier than turnbuckles or ratchets.
To make the twisted wire brace, run a lighter brace wire (I used 12 or 14) twice around the posts so you have four strands -- two on each side of the post. Staple the wire off tight. Put a short, sturdy, stick between the wire, and start twisting to the desired tightness. Twist one more time, then remove the stick. The wire will unwrap about a turn and then hold.
