Ambriel Acres Alpacas

In this blog, I'm going to talk about our alpaca farm, Ambriel Acres Alpacas. We are located in the Middle Tennessee Valley between Nashville and Chattanooga. We'll be essentially starting from the ground up so if you're thinking about starting your own alpaca business, this might be a good place to learn. If you're just curious, welcome aboard.

Tara Joins Us

It's Saturday and Tara came down to check out the barn construction. We set the 4 x 4 posts for the eight dutch door frames. It went fairly quickly and Tara snapped a few photos while Jim and I were getting busy.







Sunday will be an off day as Tara and I go visit our alpacas. I'll hopefully get a few good shots of our "girls" and will post them here tomorrow.

We had a real good visit today. I have some pictures of Anna and the "herd" that I need to sort through. I'll try to post them tomorrow evening. Anna's fleece is real crimpy, not super dense but has nice luster and soft feel. She has a sweet temperament and we just love her. We have just the right stud in mind for her first breeding. Tara and I have great expectations from Trellianna and she'll remain one of the girls that makeup our foundation herd.
